Hey Dr. E,
I just want to say thanks for all of the help you gave me this summer with my ankle and shoulder. Both injuries had been slowing me down on and off for 2+ years. After we worked on my ankle in the beginning of the summer, I was able to up my weekly run mileage from a painful 10-15 miles a week to a pain free peak training week of 51 miles. I was also able to get my shoulder to a much better place after your help.
As a result, I was able to exceed my goal of finishing my first half ironman in 5:30 by a bit more than 8 minutes last Sunday on a pretty challenging course. My shoulder held up for 26 minutes of swimming and 2:49 of biking in the aero position with virtually no pain. My ankle also made it all the way through the 13.1 mile run with no complaints (the rest of my body was unhappy with me, but my ankle and shoulder had nothing to say).
Now its time to get back on the horse and start training for the Philly Marathon in two months. I will be shooting for under 5 hours when I get back out there for a half ironman next year. You're the man Erson...I don't think I could have done it without your help.
